Fourth Annual Olde Towne Dogge Walke to benefit the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria. This event is being organized by our friends Bobby and Shannon Mahoney at Capitol Heel. Click here to sponsor your dog for this 1.5 mile walk through Old Town and along the waterfront. Charity donation is $25 per walker if you register in advance. Or you can register the morning of the event for $40 per walker. Dogs and kids walk free. Check-in begins at 7:30am. Pre-registered entries will receive a T-shirt and a bandana. Bring some extra cash for the raffle!

Come see our latest exhibition of 20 large pet portraits entitled, Porties & Their Running Mates, at Barrel Oak Winery in Delaplane, Virginia. BOW is dog-friendly, so pack a picnic and bring your well-mannered dogs. Lee’s portraits of the owners’ two Golden Retrievers now appear on the labels of BOW’s newly released house red and white wines. Our “Meet the Artist” opening is scheduled for Sunday, May 31, 2009 from noon to 6pm. We will also be at BOW on Sunday, June 7, 2009 in the early afternoon for a Portie playdate. We hope to see you on one of these dates at BOW.

You are invited to view our exhibition, Chasing the Cat: 25 Black & White Pet Portraits by Lee Anderson at Barrel Oak Winery in Delaplane, Virginia. Pack a picnic lunch, bring the dog, and consider purchasing a small sampling of this winery’s award-winning wines. We are planning another “Meet the Artist” opening on Sunday, November 23, 2008 from noon to 5pm, so plan to join us.
