This is one of the first digital images I ever captured. It was taken with a Dicomed 4x5 scanning back on the second or third day we had it. We were shooting for print, and our goal was to capture full tonal range from a difficult subject. The printed piece has beautiful highlight and shadow detail, from the specular highlights on the barrel to the deepest shadow on the grip of the gun.
